Call for Presentations & Short Courses

Due December 15, 2024

ISCC is soliciting presentation, poster, and short course proposals from color practitioners, researchers, students, and professionals on the topic of Color as Communication. 


Submission Categories

  • Presentation (morning sessions) – Topic conveyed orally with slides (20 minutes) *. We do not expect to accept any online presentations. There is no paper required for oral presentations.

  • Poster with Short Presentation (evening session) – Short oral overview of topic followed by discussion at the poster (2 minutes presentations; 2-hour poster session) *

  • Short Course (afternoon sessions) – Instruction or activity. (90 minutes). **

Our theme probably includes some aspect of what you already do with color! Come share it with us, and learn about what others are doing as well.

Presentations may be technical or non-technical, papers are not required and 
proceedings will not be published.

Color Impact 2025 at RIT—in person, in June—is where you want to be! 


* Presenters will be able to register for the conference at the presenter rate (register for $250).
** Short course instructors will be able to register at a presenter rate ($250) and will be able to attend short courses 
at no cost. (Saving $50 per course)

Because the scope of Color As Communication is broad, we welcome a variety of presentation formats.

Steps for submitting a proposal:
1) Review the categories above.
2) See a sample proposal application HERE.
3) Set up an OpenConf account.

Proposal Deadline: December 15, 2024

Proposals may include audience participation and should not be commercial in nature. The Program Committee will announce results on February 1, 2025. If speaker submissions exceed available slots the committee will designate some presentations for poster format. ISCC will recognize outstanding student presentations in any format.
