Frameless Labs at Rochester Institute of TechnologyThis presentation will share the evolution of Frameless Labs, a faculty led, multidisciplinary initiative spanning the arts, sciences, and technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Frameless Labs serves to bring attention to research, innovation and artistic creation in the fields of virtual and augmented reality. Frameless Labs serves to connect ideas in academia and the greater outside community of XR thought leaders. Building from the strength and synergy of creative and technical minds jointly focused on emerging innovation, Frameless Labs provides a dedicated center of excellence for fostering ideation in emerging immersive experiences.
Bio
A Professor in the College of Art and Design at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Susan Lakin works across disciplines in her art and academic practices. Currently, she is the Director of Frameless Labs which serves to connect ideas in academia and the greater outside community of XR thought leaders. Building from the strength and synergy of creative and technical minds jointly focused on emerging innovation, Frameless Labs provides a dedicated center of excellence for fostering ideation in emerging immersive experiences at RIT.
The Inter-Society Color Council advances the knowledge of color as it relates to art, science, industry and design.
Each of these fields enriches the others, furthering the general objective of color education.
